The Stratum Corneum
The top layer of the skin that we see everyday is actually flattened cells that are either dead or dying. In young skin the Stratum Corneum starts out at around 7 layers thick. As we get older, and experience the harshness of mother nature and father time this layer can become up to 17 layers thick. When we let these layers of dead skin build up, our skin becomes eroded and dull. Our skin rejuvenation system fights dead skin by peeling away these beaten layers to producing a healthy Clinage Glow.
The Epidermis
Which lives below the Stratum Corneum is our own natural healthy skin that is thick and soft. This is our natural beauty which is bursting through the Stratum Corneum. A glowing Epidermis starts with the building blocks of a healthy dermis which resides just below.
The Dermis
The Dermis is home to things such as hair follicles, sweet glands, nerves, and blood vessels. It's also home to the foundation of beautiful looking skin which is Collagen and Elastin that gives us support, suppleness, and elasticity. Studies show that the production of collagen and elastin slows down when there is a build up of stratum corneum, thus slowing the rate of new cell production and turnover. That is why we fight the symptoms of dry, hardened skin by brushing away the stratum corneum ( or dead skin ), and feeding your skin with the richest of vitamins that it longs for for healthy cell production
